Fence and Gate Repair in Denver
A Straight Up Fence Company, Serving Denver Metro and Surrounding Areas
Not every fence problem calls for a new fence. A rotted post, a gate that drags, a section the wind pushed over or a panel a trash truck clipped can usually be fixed for a fraction of the cost of replacement. A Straight Up Fence Company has been repairing wood, iron, chain link and vinyl fences across the Denver metro area since 2006, and we will tell you plainly when a repair makes sense and when it doesn’t.
What We Repair
Most of the repair calls we get fall into a handful of categories. Posts that have rotted at the ground line and let a section lean. Pickets and rails that split, warped or blew off in a windstorm. Gates that sag, drag on the ground or won’t latch because the hinge post shifted. Wrought iron sections that rusted through at the base or were bent by a vehicle. Chain link with holes, bent top rails or a gate that no longer closes. Automatic gate operators, sensors, keypads and arms that stopped working.
We also handle the odd jobs: welding a new latch onto an iron gate, resetting a corner post, replacing the cantilever wheel on a slide gate, or matching a few boards on a shared fence so both neighbors are happy.
Repair or Replace?
Our estimator looks at the age of the fence, how many posts are still solid, and what the repair would cost against a new section. If a 20-year-old cedar fence has several rotted posts in one run, replacing that run is usually the better money. If the posts are sound and it’s a few boards and a gate, a repair is the right call. Either way you get a written estimate and a straight answer before any work starts.
Wind, Trees and Vehicles
A good share of our repair work follows a Front Range windstorm, a fallen tree limb, or a car that left the road. If your insurance company is asking for an estimate, we can provide the written documentation your adjuster needs. See our storm damage page for what to do in the first few days after a fence comes down.
Gate Operator Service
We install and service automatic gate systems from LiftMaster, Nice Linear and other major brands. If your gate opens on its own, won’t close, or the keypad and remotes stopped responding, we can diagnose the operator, safety sensors and wiring and get it working again.
